Holy smokes it’s been awhile since I’ve had time to fire up a blog post. How is it already mid November? No idea. Anyhow, today I want to share five things that I recently purchased that have changed my world. I really think you might dig them too, so here you go. Five Friday Things. Could this be a new series? One can only hope.
Outdoor Voices Rec Trek Pant // You guys. These pants are changing my life everyday. I’m wearing them right now as I type. If I wanted to, I could spontaneously climb a mountain or go shopping and I would be dressed appropriately and feel good. I am so sick of throwing on workout leggings and calling it a day. These are actual pants and look great with a basic top or sweater. I sized up in these because they aren’t cute when they fit too tight. I own them in black and the navy are in my cart as we speak. You will love these.
Madewell Sherpa Cocoon Coat // I missed out on this gem last year when it came in brown—not going to happen this year, my friends. I cruised into my local store a few weeks ago and saw this hero hanging up right in my direct line of sight. It’s a no brainer. It’s warmer than it looks and I do think it runs large. I went down one size because I don’t plan on wearing anything too thick underneath. If you live somewhere where it’s actually cold in the winter, you might want to stay true to size so you can wear a bulky sweater with it. The grey is great for layering all the things so it’s super easy to wear with what you already own.
Athleta Venice Joggers // If you need an easy throw on jogger, these are it. They are a true jogger which is great for throwing on when you need to get out the door fast. I don’t really tuck anything in to these, but simply throw on a longer top or sweater. They are not tight and they are not leggings, so you win. I sized down in these too as I think they run pretty large.
Cupcakes and Cashmere Duster // I’ve really started to embrace leopard (see here) and this duster is no exception. It really elevates a white tee and denim look and would look amazing over an all black ensemble too. It’s super easy to wear and I love how it’s shown above with a black tee, denim and loafers. So good.
Madewell Colorblock Sweater Dress // Technically I haven’t acquired this yet, but I’m about to order it right after I hit publish on this post. I tried this on in store a few days ago and it’s g-o-o-d. The model is clearly tall, so unless you are 5’10” or taller, it will not be this short. It’s more of a sweater tunic on me (5’5″) and that’s exactly what I’m after. This looks great with leggings and boots or easily dress it up for a casual holiday party or night out. It’s not tight at all and I went with my true size and didn’t size down as I usually do in Madewell.
I hope you love these gems as much as I do and you can easily shop them below.
