I have been looking for the perfect oversized blazer forever. It’s a solid wardrobe staple and one that I have been needing for a long long time. I recently sold a few shorter blazers after having kids because the shape just didn’t work for me anymore. As soon as I saw this Emerson Fry Lee Jacket, I knew it was the one.
The shape of this blazer is perfection. I know it’s technically called a jacket, but it’s really an oversized boyfriend blazer that fits amazing. The length is longer and so good for throwing over just about everything. It’s fully lined linen (yes it does wrinkle), but it breathes and isn’t too hot. Perhaps the best part of this blazer is how versatile it is. It adds polish to any tee and heels combo and is equally awesome with relaxed denim and sneaks (this post is coming soon).
I also plan on wearing this blazer over a maxi dress with boots in the fall and even with longer denim shorts (if I can pull that look off). My only recommendation is to go up one size. I ended up going up a size and love that it’s a bit more roomy and not too tight in the arms. If you need to add an oversized blazer to your wardrobe, this one is a must try-on. If your size is sold out, try looking for it at August Twenty in Greenville, SC.
I almost forgot to share that I also tried on the Lee Jacket in Plaid. It’s much lighter weight (linen and rayon), so more of a true blazer. I prefer the first one because I think I will get more wear out of it but the plaid one is really good too. Do you have an oversized blazer that you love?
